| I had some framed and unframed prints for sale at the Brantford Arts Block Gift Store.
In December, all unframed prints and 2 framed prints went missing from the display. The 2 framed prints were located - in the closet!
Not a good place for them during the Holiday selling season. One frame has a slight scratch on it! The unframed prints could not
be found that day. They were eventually found (AFTER the holiday selling season,) and they put them back on a display shelf (a
shelf higher up than where they were - and high enough that people couldn't view them easily). BUT they placed them in such a way that
all were bent or had a slight crease in them! 2 were miossing! (They have since paid for the missing prints. They were never found.) I also had manila envelopes and cut-to-size masonite boards
for packing. These are still missing. To top it off, they constantly lost or misplaced your cheques from things sold (I had to wait several months for the last one), and their bookkeeping system is poorly set up. Frequently they could not find the files with the list of things sold, and they said they delete items after the artist is paid (They delete them??!? How do they do their year end???). I asked for a copy of the original inventory to prove that things are missing, and they couldn't find that either! You would think that, after being open for more than a year, they would have all this organized. The Brantford Arts block charges you a $25 yearly membership to have access to stuff there, get discounts for events, and you can sell your wares in the gift shop (but they get a 20% commission on anything sold). After my bad experience with them, I decided not to renew my membership, and have removed all my items from the store. Since some of the prints are slightly damaged, i am offering them at the discounted price listed above. Below is a list of the damaged prints that are available.
